Held throughout the month of October and climaxing on Halloween, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) Fright At The Fairgrounds, is a child-friendly event to help support charitable organizations like the K9 Unit, DCSO Honor Guard, Family Support Council, and members of the community stricken with cancer.
Nevada Police Launch Fright Night To Raise Money and Awareness
“We launched Fright at the Fairgrounds as a fun way to raise money while entertaining and maybe scaring a few children. Operated by DCSO deputies and civilian volunteers who donate their time to planning, building, decorating, and operating the event, it’s quite popular and produces fun and excitement for all ages. For years we kept props, staging, and equipment from the event in various garages and warehouses around town.”
