Give A Used Shipping Container A Land Based Purpose...

Yearly, 3 to 6 million new shipping containers are produced. Roughly 13-18% of newly produced shipping containers are not used for shipping. Instead they are mainly used for storage purposes on land. Which we think is a shame, because producing new containers has a high environmental impact and uses finite resources. Storage is a purpose that a used container can fulfill just as good as a new one. That’s why Eveon decided to focus on giving used containers a second chance, reducing the need for newly produced shipping containers.



The production of one single container emits almost 12,000 kilos of CO2.*

That’s equal to transporting that container from Memphis to Chicago, 15 times.

Used containers are significantly cheaper than ones which are newly produced and fulfill most jobs just as good.

Producing the containers we planned to sell in 2022 would emit over 36 million kg CO2.  
These insights & astonishing numbers have resulted in our most recent decision:
