SPRING SALE: Receive $100 Off Per Container
Every company has their own unique communication challenges, especially one navigating the murky waters of a new business category. How do you explain a business concept to a customer if there is not a previous reference point? Category pioneers often struggle with this dilemma.
In the specific case of Eveon, customers were unfamiliar with the details and logistics of the delivery process. Post purchase and pre delivery, we discovered that apprehension and anxiety were leading our customers to become uneasy and call customer service. As many people had never seen an 8000lb Corten steel box get placed by a tilt bed, we were empathetic that the unknown could be scary, but we knew we needed to address their concern.
“The challenge for marketing was how to explain the delivery process and requirements in a simple, yet detailed manner that would put the customer at ease.” Eveon Brand Manager adds.
The idea that one can safely and simply pick, purchase, and have a used shipping container delivered right to their home or business in 5-10 business days is still relatively new. While the steps really are that easy, there are requirements and elements (weather, trees, and topography) that still need to be addressed.
Because most customers are not familiar with the container industry, after purchase, they were often left wondering “How will it be delivered?” “Is my driveway wide enough?”. The fear of the unknown crept in... for any new category, this mind set is normal.
“As a solution-based startup, Eveon Containers wanted to discuss and explore delivery in the same way we approach business. In a transparent, humble, professional manner, but with a little bit of charisma. For those that love containers, like we do...even the delivery can be alluring.” Eveon CEO, Aad Storm shares.
Through Genero, a creative production platform that enables brands and businesses to find and partner with talented content creators, we were able to send out an RFP to seek assistance in illustrating the container delivery process. After careful consideration, we chose Anna Sorokina, a skilled stop motion animator and humble artist, to help us demystify the delivery.
Sorokina, who graduated with degrees in mathematics and mechanics, started her career out as a programmer. In 2020 amidst the pandemic, she decided to marry her passions and start learning all she could about stop motion animation.
"Since I was a child, I have loved crafting and hands-on activities. While working remotely during COVID, I had the opportunity to spend more time exploring my passions. The pandemic provided me with the time to delve deeper into stop motion animation, crafting, photography, and videography. Being self-taught, I began creating videos using various materials and objects I could find around the house.” Anna Sorokina adds.
Anna's dedication resulted in her attracting several exciting clients, and in 2020, she decided to quit her job and focus all her time and attention on landing professional stop motion animation projects.
The Eveon paper world featured took Anna approximately forty hours to build, and an additional forty to fifty hours to film. Using Genero, a creative and production platform enabling brands to produce digital content at scale, she developed a new tool to help customers easily relate to a new business category. Successfully and artistically showcasing that delivery of a 20ft or 40ft Corten steel box to your home, property of place of business is not something to worry about.
We greatly appreciate Anna’s dedication to the project and hope you do as well. Click below for a little bit of the behind the scenes...
